About us
What we do
The Derby Food 4 Thought Alliance supports people in Derby who are experiencing food insecurity, through food provision, signposting, support and advice.
Derby Food 4 Thought (DF4T) Alliance was initially created to respond to the immediate needs of people in Derby at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020. It has now progressed to being a longer-term solution combating the root causes of deprivation and poverty.
We now partner with 14 food-based projects, including 5 community shops, community pantries, and traditional food projects. We also work with 30 local community meal-based projects, whilst we continue to meet the immediate need of food insecurity, our main focus is to support and signpost those accessing our services to tackle the root causes of their deprivation and poverty.
We believe in the power of community to change people's lives, bring us together and tackle inequality.
Our social media platforms illustrate the fantastic work that is underway.
As we move forward with new projects to tackle poverty and deprivation within our city we would like to thank you for your support.
