About
Ann Mills coordinates DF4TA’s Furniture and Electrical Project, which helps families rebuilding their homes and lives due to furniture poverty. She oversees the collection and redistribution of donated household & business items—ensuring people have the essentials to create a safe and stable home.
Ann first became involved in community action during the COVID-19 lockdown, setting up a Street Shops initiative to deliver groceries to shielding neighbours and sewing scrubs for NHS workers. She later joined a Community Sponsorship Group, raising funds to support a Syrian refugee family resettling in the UK.
In her own time, Ann is passionate about sustainability and the environmental benefits of reusing household goods and reducing waste.
