Need food help right away?
Call us on 01332 227728, open Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 4:00pm. You don't need a referral.
You can now request a food parcel online. We aim to be in touch within 24 hours of an online request, however, if you refer to us on a Friday afternoon after 1pm, we may not be able to process the referral until the following Monday or Tuesday (if it's a Bank Holiday).
When you call, we will ask you for some personal information to process your request. Below are some examples of the information we may ask:
- Your name and address (If homeless we will use your previous address)
- Postcode
- Phone number
- How many days of food you have left
- Number of adults and children in your household
- Any dietary restrictions
- Payments received Wages/UC/PIP ETC
- Date you receive these payments.
- Housing status (Derby Homes, Housing Association, Owned, Privately Rented)
- Have you used us before
Here's what to expect
- We’ll connect you with a food bank in Derby depending on your location and circumstances.
- You will get a call back the same day if you have no food.
- You'll receive a 3-day food parcel, based on family size.
Important: Most food banks have limited hours, usually closing before 3pm. You can only receive one food parcel in a 7 day period.
