Our Thanks

We couldn’t have done it without the incredible support we received:

  • Derbion – for once again donating the venue free of charge and welcoming us into the heart of the city centre.
  • Our volunteers – from our own Derby Food 4 Thought Alliance team and the wider community, who gave their time and energy to sort, organise, and support families in the hub.
  • Binaryfold4 – for their brilliant help and expertise in setting up and maintaining our website and request forms, making access easier for families who needed support.
  • Business volunteers – who generously released their staff to join us:
    • Nielsen McAllister
    • Rolls-Royce
    • Atkins Realis
    • Alstom
    • Balfour Beatty

Your contribution of time, energy, and skills helped us make the hub run smoothly and ensured that every family received the welcome and support they deserved.

Being part of the School Uniform Hub has been such a rewarding experience. I loved being hands on in the hub, meeting families and seeing the smiles on children’s faces as they picked out their uniforms. It was a privilege to work alongside our amazing volunteers and to see the real impact this support has in our community — helping children start the school year with confidence is something I’m truly proud of.

Looking Ahead

The School Uniform Hub is always one of the highlights of our year, but we know that the need doesn’t stop in the summer. That’s why we are actively exploring ways to extend this support beyond a once-a-year event, so that families can access help when they need it most.

Watch this space – we’re determined to make it happen.
