Reverse Advent Calendar Processing Days 2026
Help Us Turn Donations into Support for Local Families
Each year, our Reverse Advent Calendar campaign sees hundreds of individuals, businesses, schools, and community groups come together to donate food and essential items for local families facing hardship.
Last year alone, we received an incredible 940 Reverse Advent Calendars, containing food and household essentials with an estimated value of £28,200.00. While this generosity is amazing, it also means we have thousands of individual items that need to be processed before they can be distributed to those who need them most.
We're looking for teams of up to 8 corporate volunteers to join us at the DF4TA Resource Centre and help us sort, check, and organise these donations.
What You'll Be Doing
Volunteers will help us:
- Unpack donated Reverse Advent Calendars
- Check items are within date and suitable for distribution
- Carry out quality checks on donated goods
- Sort items into categories
- Organise and stock shelves within our Resource Centre
- Help create an efficient stock system ready for the busy Christmas and New Year period
This is a practical, hands-on volunteering opportunity that plays a vital role in ensuring donations can reach local people as quickly as possible.

Session Details
Venue: DF4TA Resource Centre
Available Dates: Various dates throughout December 2026 TBC (minimum of five sessions available)
Session Times: 10:00am – 12:00pm, (lunch break: 12:00pm – 1:00pm), 1:00pm – 3:00pm
Volunteer Numbers: Up to 8 volunteers per session
