Exciting News from Our Allotment Project

Over the past 18 months, we’ve been hard at work preparing our allotment, and we’re thrilled to finally begin planting this year! It’s been a big task, but thanks to the dedication of our amazing team of volunteers, Shaun, Richard, David Tim and Jonathan, we’ve made incredible progress.

From cutting out beds and building raised planters, to tackling heavy weeding, painting, and more – the transformation has been incredible. Check out the photos to see just how far we’ve come!

Thanks to our amazing team of volunteers who have been hard at work. Thanks to Motorpoint that helped by clearing away the weeds and starting the flower beds. Thank you to Balfour Beatty team who came in and donated surplus items from the company to help improve the plot they made the raised flower beds. 

We’re planning to grow a variety of fresh produce including:

• Potatoes
• Carrots
• Onions
• A selection of herbs
• And more to  be planted 

Once harvested, the fruit and veg will be donated to our food partners to support community shops and community meals.
