Growing More Than Food – Thank You to Our Amazing Allotment Volunteers

Over the last few months, our incredible allotment volunteers have been hard at work preparing for another growing season.

From clearing and preparing the space, to planting, watering, maintaining, and caring for everything that is growing – the amount of work that goes into producing fresh food is truly amazing.

Looking at the allotment today, it’s incredible to see how far this space has come over the last few years. What has been created is so much more than an allotment – it’s become a place of teamwork, learning, wellbeing, and a valuable part of supporting our wider community

The fresh produce grown helps contribute to our projects and gives our customers access to healthy fruit and vegetables grown with care right here in our community

We would also like to give a special thank you to Dave for everything he does. Not only does he work incredibly hard helping organise and coordinate the allotment, but he also volunteers across so many other projects within the organisation. Your dedication, time, and commitment never go unnoticed and we are hugely grateful for everything you do
