Help Build Our Resource Centre

Our new Resource Centre is giving us the opportunity to do things we've never been able to do before.

Over the coming months, we'll be transforming different areas of the building to create dedicated spaces that will help us support even more individuals and families across Derby.

Creating Our Clothing Store

For the first time, we have a dedicated mezzanine that will become our clothing storage area.

Every year, we receive thousands of donated clothing items that are distributed through our projects to people in our community. At the moment, these are stored in boxes, crates and bags on the floor. While we're incredibly grateful for every donation, it isn't the safest or most efficient way to store and organise them.

Our vision is to transform the mezzanine into an organised clothing store with warehouse racking around the perimeter.

With the right storage, we'll be able to:

• Organise clothing by type and size
• Protect donations and keep them in excellent condition
• Help our volunteers prepare clothing requests more quickly
• Create safe walkways throughout the mezzanine
• Store and distribute even more clothing to local people who need our support

Can You Help?

We're looking for businesses or organisations that may be replacing, relocating or clearing warehouse racking and would consider donating equipment that still has plenty of life left.

We're specifically looking for:

• Low-profile warehouse racking
• Approximately 600mm deep
• Suitable for a mezzanine storage area

Good quality used racking would be perfect. By giving it a second life, you'll help us create an organised space that will support our community for many years to come.
