URGENT APPEAL – Our furniture project van has been stolen

Derby Food 4 Thought Alliance’s Furniture and Electrical Project has been running since March and, in that short time, has already helped numerous grateful local households rebuild their lives after crisis — including beds, microwaves, fridges, sofas and other essential items that no family should be without.

Sadly, on Monday morning we discovered that our project van had been stolen over the weekend.

We had no choice but to halt the service meaning that we currently have families and individuals in crisis who are expecting  support that we cannot support without a van— but right now we simply cannot reach them.

We urgently need the temporary use of a long-wheelbase, high-top Transit (or similar) so this vital service can continue. We already have fully insured volunteer drivers ready to go — we just need the vehicle.
