Volunteers’ Week – Celebrating Our Surplus Food Collection Volunteers

Today we’re shining a spotlight on our incredible Surplus Food Collection Team.

Each week our volunteers collect surplus food from Costco and work hard to ensure it reaches those who need it most.

Their efforts help support 17 partner organisations across Derby, providing food for community meals, warm welcome spaces, homeless support services, lunch clubs for older people, and many other vital community projects.

Thanks to their commitment, good food is rescued from waste and redistributed to support local people.
