A huge thank you to Baljit and the team at Avison Young

We’d like to say a massive thank you to Baljit and her fantastic team from Avison Young for spending time with us last week and getting stuck into some much-needed volunteering.

Baljit got in touch to ask if her team could get involved with some corporate volunteering, and we were delighted to say yes!

We’d recently received a large donation of clothing from Derbion, so the team got straight to work sorting through it all. From school uniforms and children’s clothing to men’s clothing and winter coats, there was plenty to get through — and their help will make a real difference across several of our projects and partner organisations, including TOGS, our children’s clothing support and many more.

But that wasn’t all!

Baljit also helped save the day when we found ourselves one Costco volunteer short. She jumped in alongside our volunteer Andrew and helped distribute the surplus food amongst our surplus food partners, making sure the food got where it was needed.
It was a fantastic example of how corporate volunteering can make such a difference — whether it’s sorting donations, helping behind the scenes or simply stepping in when an extra pair of hands is needed.

Baljit and team, thank you so much for giving your time, energy and enthusiasm. You did a fantastic job, and we really appreciate all your help!

We hope to see you again soon!
