Celebrating One Year of Chellaston Shelton Lock Community Hub

We are so proud to be celebrating one amazing year of our Chellaston & Shelton Lock Community Hub. What started as a simple idea has grown into a vital, welcoming space at the heart of our community.

Our incredible Pink Ladies volunteers have made this possible. Through our Warm Welcome sessions, they have supported an amazing 2,443 people over the past 12 months.

• Tuesdays – A hot meal and dessert
• Thursdays – A hearty breakfast
• Every session – friendship, warmth and a place to belong

Alongside this, our Community Shop has provided essential support to local families, distributing 111 food parcels this year — helping 148 adults and 82 children when they needed it most.

And there’s even more to celebrate…

The hub recently underwent a food hygiene inspection and we are delighted to share that the team passed with flying colours, achieving a fantastic 5-star food hygiene rating
