DF4TA thanks Vibrant Doors for generous donation

We would like to say a huge thank you to John Shaw and staff at Vibrant Doors for the amazing donation of £10,000. Their donation will go a long way in helping with the cost of food we purchase, due to the ever increasing demand for food support which currently outweighs our supply.

Over the last few months, we have seen another surge in demand for our services. We are issuing over 2,200 food parcels a month, making 54,423 meals a month and monetary wise equates to £55,051 worth of retail food. These sizeable donations enable us o buy core items that we don’t always get donated due to their cost.

John Shaw says: “Vibrant Doors is a Derby-based family-run business with a predominantly local workforce. As a result, our core values revolve around supporting local people to thrive and championing our home city wherever possible. So when we heard about the amazing work of DF4TA we simply had to get involved. If anyone is looking to connect with a charity that directly helps people right here in Derby, we would highly recommend supporting the DF4TA.”

Business information

Founded in 2012, Vibrant Doors specialises in innovative door solutions, including its range of signature heritage-style doors. Having recently gained FSC Certification, Vibrant Doors is proud to provide a wide selection of doors sourced from sustainably managed forests, helping to protect the environment. The Vibrant Doors team is also passionate about making a difference locally and further afield, supporting several causes and charities that are close to their heart.

DF4TA Senior Manager Paul Brookhouse said ‘We are currently seeing a high level of need within the city – levels not seen pre pandemic.  The cost-of-living crisis is affecting so many people both those in and out of work and the levels of child poverty are at a very significant number.  The demand is more than our supply and this donation which is truly amazing will help us significantly meet some of the shortfall.  We rely on true partnership to support people in the city and donations like this show just how much some people care and want to help and we are truly grateful for John & his team’s support.’

Coming soon in early September is the F4T 100 Club, that businesses in Derby can get behind to help in a similar way to Vibrant Doors.
