Fantastic first day at The Thoughtful Shop!

Today we officially opened The Thoughtful Shop inside Derby Market Hall, and what a wonderful first day it has been.

It was fantastic to welcome our first customers and see them experience the community shop process. The feedback we received was really positive, and it was great to see people feeling comfortable and supported while choosing the items they need.

A huge thank you to our incredible volunteers, who worked so hard today — filling shelves, supporting customers and helping everything run smoothly. Your time and dedication are what make projects like this possible.

We have also received such a warm welcome from the fellow vendors in Derby Market Hall, who have been so supportive as we begin this new chapter. It truly shows the strength of the local community.

Thank you as well to the local media who have helped us share the news about The Thoughtful Shop and raise awareness of the support available.

We are incredibly proud to have opened this new space and are looking forward to continuing to support individuals and families across Derby.
