Volunteers Needed – The Thoughtful Shop
We’re growing — and we need your help!
The Thoughtful Shop, part of Derby Food 4 Thought Alliance, is looking for friendly, reliable volunteers to join our team supporting local families with food and school uniform.
Our shop provides dignity, choice, and practical support to households facing financial hardship — and our volunteers are at the heart of making that happen.
💛 Could you spare a few hours a week?
💛 Do you enjoy working with people?
💛 Would you like to make a real difference in your community?
Volunteer roles include:
- Welcoming and supporting customers
- Helping customers select food items
- Assisting with school uniform support
- Light stock organisation
- Recording simple shop information
No previous experience is needed — full training will be provided.
By volunteering, you’re not just giving your time — you’re helping children start school with confidence and families access essential support in a respectful, welcoming environment.
